ITINERARY
ITINERARY
This immersive 11-day photographic journey combines South Africa’s most iconic city, its premier wildlife destination and one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Designed for photographers and nature travellers, this photo tour balances dramatic landscapes with unforgettable wildlife encounters.
We begin in Cape Town one of the world’s most beautifully located cities. Photograph colourful streets in the Bo-Kaap, sweeping cityscapes and coastal viewpoints, and the dramatic cliffs of Cape Point. Capture African penguins at Boulders Beach and explore the rugged Cape Fold Mountains before ascending Table Mountain for panoramic views over the city, ocean and surrounding peaks.
From the coast, the journey continues to the Kruger region for an authentic safari photography experience. Staying in Marloth Park, along the crocodile river, you will enjoy daily open-vehicle game drives into the park. These expertly guided safaris focus on wildlife behaviour, composition and light, offering exceptional opportunities to photograph the Big Five, birdlife and classic African scenes in one of the continent’s most celebrated wildlife reserves.
The final chapter of the tour unfolds at Victoria Falls. Flying into Livingstone, guests receive the KAZA Univisa on arrival, allowing seamless access to both Zambia and Zimbabwe. Over several days, photograph Victoria Falls from multiple viewpoints on both sides of the border, capturing its scale, mist and ever-changing light. A full-day photographic excursion to Chobe National Park adds a river-based safari experience, renowned for its large elephant herds and diverse wildlife. Optional experiences include a Flight of Angels helicopter flight over the falls or a excursion to Stanley Island on the Zambezi River.
The tour concludes in Livingstone with a transfer to the airport, bringing an unforgettable photographic journey to a close .

WHEN TO VISIT
WHEN TO VISIT
This multi-destination photo tour can be enjoyed year-round, with each season offering distinct photographic advantages across Cape Town, Kruger and Victoria Falls.
Autumn (April–May)
One of the most balanced and rewarding times to visit. Cape Town enjoys mild temperatures, clear skies and softer light, ideal for cityscapes, coastal photography and mountain views. In Kruger, vegetation begins to thin, improving wildlife visibility while temperatures remain comfortable. Victoria Falls still carries strong water flow from the summer rains, with mist, rainbows and dramatic wide-angle opportunities.
Best for: Balanced conditions, comfortable temperatures, strong water flow at the falls.
Winter (June–August)
Excellent for wildlife photography. Kruger is at its best, with dry conditions concentrating animals around water sources and offering exceptional Big Five sightings in clean, dust-free air. Cape Town experiences cooler temperatures and occasional rain, creating dramatic skies and moody landscapes. Victoria Falls has reduced mist, allowing clearer views of the rock face, details and scale of the falls.
Best for: Safari photography, clear views of Victoria Falls, dramatic landscapes.
Spring (September–October)
A favourite for photographers seeking variety. Cape Town warms up with fresh greenery and vibrant light. Kruger remains dry early in spring, with excellent wildlife sightings and newborn animals appearing later in the season. Victoria Falls sits at a photographic sweet spot, combining strong water flow with improved visibility and fewer crowds.
Best for: Wildlife behaviour, fresh landscapes, balanced falls conditions.
Summer (November–March)
Cape Town shines in summer with long days, blue skies and vibrant coastal scenes. Kruger becomes lush and green, offering beautiful backdrops, birdlife and dramatic storm skies, though wildlife can be more dispersed. Victoria Falls reaches peak flow, creating thunderous scenes, heavy mist and spectacular rainbows — ideal for dramatic wide-angle photography.
Best for: Lush scenery, bird photography, maximum water flow at Victoria Falls.
Overall Recommendation:
For the most well-rounded photographic experience across all three destinations, April–May and September–October offer the best combination of weather, wildlife activity and visual variety.
