There are 2 World heritage sights + Table Mountain (a Natural Wonder of the World). Add in the fabled Cape Point, easy access to African Penguins, Kirstenbosch Gardens, the grandeur of  Chapman’s Peak drive and the culture diversity and you have something exceptional. 

This best of Cape Town takes in all the iconic sights and the hidden gems. Below is a suggested itinerary that can be tailored to your taste, in locations, duration and experiences.

Many clients also use this as an opportunity to learn/practice wildlife photo skills before their safari.

Day 1: Hotel Check-in | City intro Workshop| Atlantic Seaboard Seascape Sunset
12:00 Lunch & welcome briefing followed by an in-the-field photography workshop at Cape Town’s Company Gardens so we can understand each person’s photo level.

Day 2: Photo Tour Cape Point | African Penguins | Chapman’s Peak Drive | Seascape sunset
An amazing day with many of Cape Town’s best photo locations and some secret locations!

Day 3: Photo Tour City Sunrise | Kirstenbosch gardens | V&A Waterfront sunset and blue hour Another exceptional day finishing at the V&A waterfront for a sunset into evening photo walk, staying on for dinner.

Day 4: Township | Cape Winelands | Postcard Table Mountain sunset shoot We finish the day in style at one of Cape Town most sought after photo locations the classic postcard shot of Table Mountain over the ocean.

Day 5: Optional Sunrise Shoot | Check out | Airport Drop-off
 We keep the last morning open so we can tailor it to your preferences and weather. Tour finishes after lunch with an airport or city hotel drop off.

Summer (Mid Nov- March): 
Hot, blue skies, 14 hours of daylight. The notorious South Easter wind blows often. Busiest time of year, especially over the festive season. 

Autumn (April/May/Start of June): 
A beautiful time of year, calm weather, often with colourful sunsets, from mid May to early June Autumn colors kick in. Ocean Mist occurs.

Winter (June-August):
From June rains start, weather can be cold and wet. Landscape becomes colourful, waterfalls on Table Mnt. The whales return, marine and birdlife is great, good time for safari. In-between the cold fronts, weather can be beautiful.
  
Spring (Aug- |Mid Nov):
A great time of year, less rains than full winter. Colourful landscapes, great birdlife &  wildlife and time for safari. Flowers everywhere, it’s a good time to visit but weather can be wet and cold too.

Accommodation rates change according to season. In general high season is August to April and major holidays like Xmas and Easter. Rates below are approximate and can change during peak times and during off-peak times, the rate can even come down.

  • All Meals (to value of R300 p/meal when eating at restaurant)

  • All Guided Activities and Excursions (as per itinerary)
  • All Park Fees, Permits and special concession fees
  • Professional photographer guide, in the field photography tips, techniques & tuition
  • Pre and post nights can be arranged

Excludes: International flights, drinks outside of mealtimes, snacks, gratuities, fees for passport, visas, immunizations, insurance and airport taxes. Cost of hospitalization and evacuation, if necessary, laundry, phone and other items of a personal nature, any optional activities
